The Dragon
The dragon is one of the most popular tattoo motifs in the world. It is said that its origins date back to about 8000 years ago in China when ancient people imagined that spiral cloud in the sky transforms into a dragon. People who were awed by the majesty of the great natural phenomenon created the dragon. In the west, the dragon is a symbol of absolute opposition to Christianity. Western people believe that dragon is brutal, avaricious creature that brings disasters and misfortunes upon people. On the other hand, eastern people think of the dragon that rules the wind and the rain as a symbol of God of nature. Therefore people believe that the dragon is a sacred creature, has great powers and virtues and closest to God if not one.
